Upcycled Materials

Primitive and tribalism are words that come to mind when the viewer sees my relic infused pieces. Yet, my work is highly modern and minimalistic in style. I combine my passion for the beauty of nature and the mystery of a bygone civilization. Another especially important part of my vision when it comes to creating art is upcycling. Germany is considered a leader in recycling and waste management. It is only natural that my wooden pieces are created with this thought in mind. My sculptures are constructed out of found objects, repurposed leather, plastic bottles, copper pieces and reclaimed wood. Perfect things to enhance an aged quality to my assembled pieces. Some of my wooden pieces are ancient in nature, and some take on a futuristic vibe. My newest 3-D sculptures are made of layered melted plastic bottles. With those, I have added pops of bright colored neon and copper which are striking to the eye that pops.
