A closer look

I have always been driven by two essential visual basics: a strong sense of the abstract and bold, simplified shapes. With those basics for style, there is often a third element that turns my work… the environment. Living in the Reno Tahoe region offers many wonderful opportunities for the me to create. It’s ideal lighting, gorgeous skies and intriguing landscapes feeds my imagination and drives me to express its essence in my work. I demonstrate these ideas in “First Light” by various ways by using amazing colors and graphic patterning, creating visual depth by layering, and employing textural and acrylic medium techniques.
The translucency and the versatility of the different materials provide endless possibilities for creating delicate and vibrant works of art.
