A closer look

“O’ Night Divine” is created with plaster, sumi ink and graphite on reclaimed wood. The work is wabi sabi in nature due to the grasping of its imperfect organic shapes and the use of over one hundred-year-old wood. The wood alone is weathered, and pock marked. It is aged and hardened. The materials I used to build the surface part have elements that helped with the aging process to resemble battered walls.
